Diagrams and Maps of Lunar Eclipses: 1996-2012

Yellow Bar

The following table lists every lunar eclipse during the period 1996 through 2012. When selected, each 'date & eclipse' links to a figure showing the Moon's path through Earth's penumbral and umbral shadows. Displayed below each path figure is an equidistant projection map of Earth showing the regions of visibility of the eclipse. Each figure is stored as a gif of 42 to 46 kilobytes. These figures are described in greater detail in the Key to Lunar Eclipse Maps.

All calculations, figures, maps and data are by Fred Espenak, and he assumes full responsibility for their accuracy. These figures are based on maps first published in Fifty Year Canon of Lunar Eclipses: 1986 - 2035.
