A NASA reference publication of special interest to planetary scientists is now available in both card copy and electronic form. The "Twelve Year Planetary Ephemeris: 1995 - 2006" (NASA RP 1349) contains detailed solar system ephemerides covering the next dozen years. The fundamental ephemerides are based on the JPL DE200/LE200 and include the effects of light-time travel, nutation and the aberration of starlight. The major portion of this publication consists of accurate geocentric positions and physical aspect geometry data for the Sun, the Moon and the eight major planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Also included is the geocentric radial velocity of each planet which is of notable interest to high resolution spectroscopic investigations (i.e. - infrared, microwave, sub-millimeter, millimeter, and radio). Coordinates for the Moon are provided at 1-day intervals, while those for the Sun and planets Mercury through Saturn are given at 2-day intervals. Positions for Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are tabulated at 4-day intervals. Also included are tables of the Moon's phases from 1995 through 2014. Finally, a series of planetary phenomena tables present interesting planetary conjunctions, occultations, elongations, conjunctions and oppositions for the years 1995 to 2010.

Copies of NASA RP 1349 are available at no charge to planetary scientists, planetariums, observatories, libraries, and to amateurs with a demonstrated need or letter of justification. Please send all requests to:
