For convenience, all dates and times are given in local standard time (=GMT) . Note that if daylight savings time is in effect, then one hour must be added to the times. In addition to the date and the type of eclipse visible from London , the local times for the beginning, maximum and end of the eclipse are given. For maximum eclipse, each catalog lists the Sun's altitude and azimuth as well as the magnitude (fraction of Sun's diameter covered) and obscuration (fraction of Sun's area covered). The number of years elapsed since the previous eclipse visible from London is listed next. If the eclipse is annular or total from some portion of the Earth's surface, then the distance (km) from London to the center and edge of the eclipse path are provided.

Key to Eclipse Circumstances Catalog
Three catalogs are available to investigate solar eclipses visible from London during the period 2001 CE to 3000 CE . The first catalog lists the local circumstances (times, magnitude, etc.) for every eclipse visible from the city. The second catalog includes only major eclipses (magnitude greater than 0.75 , and nearby annular and total eclipses). The third catalog focuses exclusively on annular and total eclipses seeen from within a distance of 15 km of the center of London .
