Venus will pass across the disk of the Sun during a rare transit on 2004 June 08. This uncommon event will be visible from many locations including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and eastern North and South America. The following table presents detailed predictions for a number of cities. First, the approximate times of sunrise and sunset (Sun's upper limb) are given in Universal Time for a given city. The starting (ingress) and ending (egress) times for each stage of the transit are provided along with the corresponding altitude of the Sun.
For locations in other parts of the world, see 2004 Transit of Venus.
